CWJC of Madison County, AL’s Story
Christian Women’s Job Corps of Madison County, AL, is committed to helping women become viable contributors to their community. The ministry accomplishes this goal by equipping women in need with essential educational, employment, and life skills.
All of their job-readiness classes, computer classes, and mentoring are free of charge. This ministry pairs women’s job skills training with training in the Word in order to build a firm foundation for success. In addition to their courses of study, each participant receives a mentor, providing a one-to-one relationship designed to build self-esteem, self-confidence and life skills.

They share, “We are seeing our graduates find jobs, take the next step in their education, give back to the community and, most of all, being or grow in their relationship with [our Savior].”
The WorldCrafts Partnership

One of the artisans shares that through this ministry, “My faith has gotten stronger and I don’t have a lot of fears that I used to have because it was hard for me to trust.”
She continues, “My husband and I are raising one of our grandchildren (she’s 11) because her father died. He was addicted to opioids and committed suicide . . . My dreams for the future can change because I can learn how to make handmade jewelry . . . I know people like to buy unique jewelry and I could learn to do that. Who knows? Maybe I can come up with a design of my own!”
